Mental Health Program in Boca Raton
The Residential Mental Health Program Banyan Boca is a unique program designed to offer medical care and treatment for mental illness at the Residential level of care. This program serves as a transition from hospitalization, or as a direct admission for continued stabilization in a relaxed, non-hospital setting.
In order to qualify for Banyan Boca Raton’s Residential Mental Health Program, mental illness must be the primary diagnosis. This differs from Detoxification and Residential Treatment, because those levels of care require a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder.
Mental Illness and Substance Abuse
Although the requirement for this program is a primary diagnosis of mental illness, that does not exclude a secondary of substance use disorder. When a client has both mental health disorders and substance abuse disorders, the diagnoses are combined to be named co-occurring disorders or dual diagnosis. Many of the clients that admit into Banyan Boca Raton are considered co-occurring, and we take great pride in being able to offer true treatment for these conditions individually or combined.
